Living Into a Culture of Mission and Action
A Bold Vision
The world has changed in the past year. After a year of socially distant, pandemic ministry at St. Stephen's, God presents us with an opportunity to listen, discern, and boldly step into the future. On Sunday, April 18th we will begin a journey that will clarify our identity as God's people in this place and then help us to know where to put our time and energy in the future.
We have weathered this storm in ways that have been inspiring. Our connections to God, each other and the world have remained strong, not because of our own strength, but God’s. One of the ways we say thank you and remain faithful is to ask together, “Lord, what’s next?”
Following worship on Sunday, April 18—beginning at 10:30am, The Rev. Pete Reuss of GSB Fundraising will facilitate an hour of online small group conversations that will enable us to clarify our identity and our calling in the world. The Holy Spirit will speak through the people of our congregation. Your voice is crucial!
A congregational survey will follow later in the month, providing another avenue for feedback.
This coming week, watch your mailbox for a booklet containing devotionals focusing on our visioning work. Let us pray and ponder together.
It's an exciting time at St. Stephen's! Let's see what God has in store for our congregation.
