Comprehensive, Bible-based Sunday school designed for children age 2 to grade 6. Bible discovery and exploration is integrated in every program, every lesson, and every age group — from preschoolers to preteens. Lively, age-appropriate activities — such as games, crafts, or creative play — accommodate all the ways kids learn.

Whirl lesson follows a four-part sequence: Welcome, Hear, Respond, and Launch (WHRL!). Each week, kids and leaders start their time together by identifying where they are in the church year and watching an animated video to set up the lesson. Next, they dive into the Whirl Story Bible or Whirl NRSV Bible together, respond to the scripture lesson with creative leaflet activities, and circle up to review the lesson and pray before being sent out.

Challenging, lifelong faith

Hands-on investigative learning that leads to deep engagement with the Bible, faith, and what it means to be a Christian.

Problem–based learning helps students answer the question,
"So what?"

The depth you want with the support you need.

Change the way students think about faith and
the Bible.

Flexibility to make it yours.

Problem–based learning allows students to discover for themselves the history and richness of the Bible, God, and fatih. Students are invited to bring their questions and curiousity to every class. The accompanying Leader Guide is clear and intuitive, making it easy for any leader to understand and facilitate a lesson. It includes Bible verses, an extensive theological and historical background, and practical support to guide each lesson, turning each class into a time of rich engagement with your students. Rather than faith being handed over as an established set of facts to be learned and memorized, it’s presented as a path of growth and discovery. That’s an experience that will stay with them long after they leave your class. The curriculum allows leaders to decide the order of the lessons and the focus of the content. Want three weeks on Genesis? There’s plenty to work with. Want to skip Kings for now and jump ahead to Psalms? Go ahead.

What We Value

Creative Bible Teaching

The Bible is the most amazing book ever written! We strive to bring its stories to life through activities and discussions that keep children engaged. We want all children to love God’s word and understand the value of applying it to their lives.

Relationships

We value children’s relationships within the small group setting as they relate to their leader and other kids in the group. As families commit to attending the same service each week, children are placed in a group of familiar faces where relationships can grow.

Age-Appropriateness

Our environments and lesson materials are created in a way your child will understand. We are passionate about kids learning this way, but we also realize intergenerational learning is crucial in kids development also.

Safety

Every volunteer is screened with an interview and federal background check, and every hallway is monitored by adults.

Fun!

Kids love fun! We realize that when children have fun at church, they can’t wait to come back. We value creating fun ways for children to learn about Jesus, including games, activities, singing, and live acting.
